Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Otis ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App. Otis is provided by Bureau Bolster B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands.
Service Description
Otis is a mobile application designed to help dog owners organize and track their dog's daily life, including meals, health, schedules, activities, and milestones. The App provides logging, scheduling, reminders, and insights based on the data you enter.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Otis
- If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and device
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Otis only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Use the App to transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
Intellectual Property
The Otis name, logo, design, and all related intellectual property are owned by Bureau Bolster B.V. You retain ownership of all data you enter into the App. By using Otis, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the App's features.
User Content
You are responsible for all content you enter into Otis, including pet profiles, photos, notes, and other data. You represent that you have the right to use and share any content you upload.

No Veterinary or Medical Advice
Otis is a logging and organizational tool, not a substitute for professional veterinary care. The App does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or veterinary advice. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for health concerns about your dog. Never delay seeking veterinary care based on information from the App.
No Behavioral or Training Advice
Otis does not provide professional behavioral guidance or training advice. For behavioral concerns, training challenges, or socialization guidance, we strongly recommend working with qualified, experienced dog trainers and attending structured puppy courses led by licensed professionals. The App may include general informational content, but this is not a substitute for hands-on professional training.
Predictions and Insights
Any predictions, patterns, or insights provided by Otis are based on the data you enter and general patterns. They are meant to be helpful suggestions, not guarantees. Your dog is unique, and results may vary.
Beta Service
Otis is currently in beta. This means the App is still under active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed. You may encounter bugs or unexpected behavior. We appreciate your patience and feedback as we improve the App. Beta testers understand that the service is provided "as is" during this period.
Subscriptions and Payments
- Otis Basic is free and includes core features
- Otis+ is a paid subscription with additional features
- Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and subject to Apple's terms
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store settings
- Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bureau Bolster B.V. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from decisions made based on information or predictions provided by the App.
Warranty Disclaimer
Otis is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Termination
You may stop using Otis at any time by deleting the App. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Otis shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the Netherlands.
